Lutradur World Cup Coasters for Father’s Day

In celebration of the World Cup and also Father’s Day, we decided to make some football coasters.

After downloading and printing a simple picture from the internet, we coloured over the image with transfer paint. After allowing the paint time to dry, we transposed our football image on to Lutradur XL using a hot (but not steam) iron.

We chose Lutradur XL for this project as it is the thickest and heaviest fabric we have in stock.

After carefully cutting round our footballs we glued them on to slightly larger circles of foam sheet, which we bought from Hobbycraft.

PS. In case you’re wondering, the two flags seen in the photograph were made from transfer painted Evolon and fixed to wooden barbecue skewers. Lets hope both England and Scotland do REALLY well!
