Flower themed cards by Vivienne Challans
To mark the arrival of Spring, we are delighted to showcase these beautiful floral cards sent into us by Vivienne Challans . . . After colouring some pieces of Lutradur and Evolon with transfer paint, Vivienne cut out a variety of flower shapes, petals, stems and leaves and then arranged them on a background of light weight Lutradur. She then machine stitched the flowers, leaves etc. into position, and created more detail with some additional free machine stitching. ‘Bloom’ by Alison D’Oyley
This lovely image of a flower (which looks just like the clematis that rambles over my neighbour’s fence) was sent into us by artist/printmaker Alison D’Oyley. It comprises of hand painted Lutradur, which Alison has stitched on to cotton, which she has also painted by hand.
